The 2020 Asia Cup will be the 15th edition of the tournament. Pakistan participated twelve times in the Asia cup. Since the previous tournament was of the One Day International format, this tournament is going to be of the T20 format. Pakistan Cricket Board has been granted the right to host the tournament in neutral locations. It is still unclear as to whether the matches will be played in Pakistan or in the UAE. The Asia Cup will be played in September, with six teams featuring in the tournament.
Pakistan’s Victories
The 2000 Asia Cup was the seventh edition of the Asia Cup for cricket, which was held in Bangladesh between May June 2000. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh took part in the tournament. Pakistan won the tournament beating Sri Lanka by 39 runs in the final. All the games were played at Dhaka's Bangabandhu National Stadium. Muhammad Yousuf was declared the Man of the Series.
The 2012 Asia Cup, 11th season, was won by Pakistan tournament was held in Bangladesh. Like the previous event, the tournament featured the four Test-playing nations from Asia Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. India entered the tournament as the defending 2010 Asia Cup Pakistan won the tournament by beating Bangladesh in the final by 2 runs.
