Capacity: 34,228The National Stadium Karachi, Pakistan's premier cricket venue, is renovating for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, temporarily reducing its seating capacity from 32,000 to around 28,000. Previously, the PCB planned to expand it to 90,000, but this has not materialized. The stadium holds a strong Test record for Pakistan, with 23 wins and only two losses in 43 matches. Historic moments include Viv Richards's 181 in the 1987 World Cup, Mohammad Yousuf’s record-breaking ninth century in 2006, and Kamran Akmal’s famous comeback century against India the same year. The ongoing renovations aim to upgrade facilities to meet international standards. The stadium remains a key venue for Pakistan cricket, hosting major international and domestic matches. With its rich history and passionate crowd, it continues to be a fortress for the national team.
