How Group B Qualification Works

After all 15 Group B matches are completed, the top three teams will progress to the Super 7 stage. The fourth-placed team in Group B can also qualify if it has a better record than the fourth-placed team in Group A.

The qualifying teams then enter the Super 7 stage, where the seven teams play another round-robin competition. The top four teams from the Super 7 qualify for the semi-finals.

Group B and the Super 7

Group B is therefore an important first stage of the 2027 Cricket World Cup. Every team has five matches, and each result can influence the final standings and qualification for the Super 7.

The Super 7 begins after the Group Stage and features seven teams competing across 21 matches. Points from the Group Stage do not carry over, meaning teams start the Super 7 with a fresh opportunity to compete for a semi-final place.
