It is also known as Krestovsky Stadium or Zenit Arena and its seating capacity is 68,134. It is the home venue of FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. It was built on the location of the former Kirov Stadium. It was opened in 2017 for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. Equipped with the retractable roof and sliding pitch, it is one of world’s most modern arena technologically. Along-with competitions in a wide range of sports, it can hold events of different types especially concerts. Saint Petersburg Stadium will play host to seven matches of 2018 FIFA World Cup.
